Helping You win Disability Benefits from Start to Finish.

If you need Social Security Disability benefits, you're most likely struggling physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. Gil Laden and his team are here to help you through the complicated Social Security Disability processes.

Filing a Social Security disability application...

Applying for Social Security disability is an overwhelming process. An application for disability benefits must be filed with the Social Security Administration. Most people are denied the first time. But we can advise you throughout the application process.

We can help you apply online, by mail, or in person. The sooner we become involved, the better.

Appealing your Disability Denial...

Don't give up! It can be frustrating when you know you cannot work and your claim for disability is initially denied. The process to appeal can be long and tedious, but success is possible. However, you have a limited amount of time to file for an appeal. It's important to call Gil Laden if your claim is denied.

A denial isn't the end of your claim. We know the process. We will file a Request for Reconsideration or Hearing on your behalf. We'll help you prepare for your appeal and we'll do everything we can to get you the disability benefits you deserve.

If your Request for Reconsideration is denied, we can request a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. If an Administrative Law Judge denies your case, we can present your case before the Appeals Council. Finally, if the Appeals Council denies your case, we can appeal in federal court. We're with you from start to finish.

  • prepare your case
  • obtain important evidence such as medical records
  • prepare you for your testimony
  • prepare you for questions which may be asked of you at your hearing
  • make helpful legal arguments before and during the hearing
  • question witnesses
  • cross-examine any medical and/or vocational experts who testify at your hearing
  • file appeals in a timely manner
  • represent you at each stage of your claim

Attending your Social Security hearing alone is risky. Gil Laden will meet with you face-to-face before the hearing so your case is presented in the best way possible.

What does it cost?

We will not charge you any legal fees, unless you win, and, even then, subject to approval of the Social Security Administration. The most we will ever charge is 25% of your past due benefits up to a cap (currently $6,000) plus the costs to obtain any medical records, reports, forms, evaluations, photocopies, and other incidental legal expenses on your behalf. In federal court, the fees are different and must be approved by a federal judge.

Federal law regulates attorneys' fees in Social Security disability cases. So, virtually every disability lawyer works on the same fee basis. All fees must be approved by the Social Security Administration, except when the case is in federal court and must be approved by the federal judge. Typically, the lawyer's fee is 25% of the past due benefits you get, but it cannot exceed the cap, currently set at $6,000. Read More
